I'm almost finished mine, and it's been super fun to work on in the evening!!
Some hot tips: A super sharp pair of tiny scissors are helpful for paper things. The batteries my pack came with were dead, so when I was testing my little light it was deceiving as I thought it wasn't wired correctly. Buy a fresh set if your light appears to not work. If you need to buy more electrical wire because yours was a pain to strip and kept breaking: 30 AWG 8-Wire Test Wrapping Wire. You can get a multicoloured roll on amazon for 10 bucks. It's also a lot sturdier and wont break when you wrap it or strip it. If you need more glue, clear tacky glue is the equivalent to what is sent in the package.
There are so many ways to customize this pack if you have a printer or are crafty. I printed my own wall prints in the same size as the paper ones. I changed the legs on the little sofa chair and used toothpicks so it looks more mid-century modern. I also used coffee-stirrers as floorboards instead of the printed paper floor. Lots of youtube videos work looking up if you're into customization!
