I wanted to try the Mechanical Gears clock because I loved the Steampunk look to it. This kit requires no tools - you build the tools yourself out of components in the kit. The wood is solid and though the build itself doesn't take long, you do get the joy of spending some time making sure everything aligns to let that pendulum swing. I will definitely try some of the other products in this line!

A color guide would be nice so we could paint it before we assemble. Very hard to paint when you dont know where the part goes
